Steven writes in two genres: detective thrillers and stories for children. His first agented novel, The Stanford Experiment, is a thriller that grapples with challenging issues of authority, competing loyalties, and personal redemption. “This novel explores a variety of important themes,” Steven explains, “chief among them an important question: How would you react if your life’s circumstances suddenly changed?” Steven’s children’s stories are light-hearted and involving. They combine read-along skills and imaginative story lines that are very child-friendly. “I had befriended a few of the children on a boring coast-to-coast flight,” Steven recalls. “I remember sitting in the plane’s cramped galley with several of them gathered around as I read stories from my laptop. I knew then that writing for children had a special gift all its own.” Please click the links above to sample some of Steven’s work.
